Ingredients:
Badam/almonds - 1/2
cup
AgriGold Standardised milk - 2 cups
Sugar - 3 tblsp
Cardamoms - 5 crushed
Saffron - a pinch soaked in little lukewarm milk
Method:
- Boil half a litre of water in a saucepan
- Add the almonds when the water is boiling and cook for 2 minutes. Remove from the flame, drain and keep aside
- Remove skin of the almonds and grind them to a fine paste
- Boil milk in a thick bottomed pan; when boiling, add the almond paste to it along with the sugar and stir continuously for about 5 minutes over a low flame
- Remove from flame. Now add the saffron and the crushed cardamoms
You may serve it hot or cold.
(If you are serving it chilled, remember to add a bit more sugar than when you want to serve it hot)
