From Agrigold's Dairy Diary - Banana Milkshake

If your children make a fuss when you offer them fruits or milk, whip up a tasty banana milkshake for them and see how they love lapping it all up.

Ingredients

Banana (ripe) – 1
AgriGold Standardised milk – 500 ml
Sugar – 3 tsp
Vanilla essence – 2-3 drops (optional)




Method
  • Chop the banana in thin slices. Add them to 250 ml milk and blend in a food processor till very smooth
  •  Now add the rest of the milk, sugar and vanilla essence, and whip it with an electric beater 
  •  When frothy, pour into two long glasses; garnish with banana slices
Serve chilled

From Agrigold's Dairy Diary - Gajar/Carrots Halwa


This North Indian winter delicacy is popular all through India. If you want to treat your family with Gajar Halwa, it is best to buy the red Delhi carrots; you may also make it with other carrots.

Ingredients

Delhi carrots (or regular ones)(grated) – 1 kg
AgriGold Pasteurised Whole Milk – 1 litre
Cardamom seeds- 1 tsp
Water – 1 cup
AgriGold Ghee – 2-4 tbsp (depends on how rich you want it)
Raisins (soaked in water) – 2 tbsp
Cashew and almonds (shredded) – 3 tbsp
Sugar – 200-250 gm


Method

  • Boil water. Add grated carrots. Cook for about 5 minutes
  • Now add the milk. Cook for an hour over low flame and keep stirring continuously
  • Add sugar and cook till you get the right consistency for the halwa
  • Add ghee and cook for few more minutes
  • Put the nuts, raisins and cardamom in at this point. Remove from heat

Serve hot

From Agrigold's Dairy Diary - Porridge


Ingredients

Oats – 1 cup
AgriGold Toned Milk/Pasteurised Whole Milk – 2.5 cups
Sugar – 2 tsp
AgriGold curd/dahi – 1 heaped tbsp
Honey – 1 tbsp
Salt – a pinch


Method

  • In a thick bottomed nonstick saucepan, pour the milk and the oats and add to it just a pinch of salt. Boil
  • After it comes to a boil, let it simmer for about 5 minutes. Stir continuously
  • Remove from heat. Let it set for a couple of minutes
  • Before serving, add curd and drizzle with honey

Serve hot.

From Agrigold's Dairy Diary - Vanilla Ice cream


Ingredients

AgriGold Vanilla ice cream powder – 4 heaped tbsp
AgriGold Standardised milk – 5 cups
Fresh cream – 1 cup
Sugar – 5 tbsp
Cornflour – 2 tbsp



Method

  • Mix ice cream powder and cornflour in one cup milk. Make it smooth
  • Add remaining milk to the mixture, and add the sugar and boil it over low flame. Stir continuously
  • Strain and pour the mixture in an air tight container. You may cover it with a cling film
  • Refrigerate in the freezer for an hour to let the mixture settle
  • Now break the frozen mixture and add fresh cream
  • Keep whisking till the quantity increases considerably. It will double
  • Pour the mixture in an air tight container and cover with a cling film. Freeze
  • Fill the ice cream in a piping bag and freeze once again
  • Take out the bag from the freezer and leave it in room temperature for 10 minutes

Ice cream is ready. Scoop and serve.

From Agrigold's Dairy Diary - Mixed Fruit Custard


Ingredients

AgriGold vanilla custard powder - 2 tbsp
AgriGold Standardised milk - 2 1/2 cups
Sugar - 50 gm or to your taste
Mixed fruits (chopped strawberry, oranges, grapes, or other fruits)


Method


  • Mix the vanilla custard powder with about 4 tbsp of hot milk and make a smooth paste; make sure there are no lumps
  • Boil the rest of the milk. Add sugar 
  • Add the vanilla custard paste to the milk. Keep stirring till it gets thick
  • Let it cool down for some time. Now refrigerate
  • Chop fruits that you like and put into a bowl
  • Pour the cold custard over the fruits just before serving

From Agrigold's Dairy Diary - Tomato Raita


Ingredients

AgriGold Curd/Dahi – 2 cups
AgriGold Standardised milk - 1/4 cup
Finely chopped tomatoes – 1 cup
Roasted AgriGold cumin (jeera) powder – 1 tsp
Chopped cilantro – 1/2 cup
Chopped green chillies - 2
Salt to taste



Method


  • Put the curd and milk in a mixing bowl
  • Add the cumin powder, salt and chopped green chillies. Mix well till smooth
  • Add the chopped tomatoes and mix well


Refrigerate the raita for sometime. Garnish with the chopped cilantro before serving.
